While growing up, before the personal computers and Internet, we had books to read. What are books you ask? They are printed pages bound together in casings made of paper or leather. I prefer the leather bound books.
When I was still in school we had a building structure called a library. Libraries held books, magazines, newspapers and other reading materials. Whenever I had to write a paper on whatever, I would do my research using the encyclopedia (Google to you). That was time consuming. The Dewey decimal card catalog was the search engine of its time.
I like to collect old books. Mostly books older than me. Garage sales, library book sales are good places to find an assortment of books. The oldest books I have were written by Edgar Allen Poe, dated 1917. If the books are in mint condition it's worth more. I used to collect comic books during the 1960's, but my mother deep-sixed them after she moved.
Just call me the bookworm.
